CCP versus USA filament

So I've stopped buying (and trying to run out remaining spools of) filament produced overseas, specifically China. I've started getting all of my filament from US based and produced companies. Still being somewhat new to the hobby and not appreciating the material science of filament I didn't think it possible that it could make a difference. For me anyway, it does. I've been fighting some calibration tests on Super Slicer with a roll of some Amazon Basic PLA and other low end filament from Amazon. The old light bulb went off in the brain bucket to try the same tests with Coex and Atomic filament (both US based and manufactured). In my non scientific tests it makes a huge difference. The filament goes down cleaner and more consistently. It's a little (or a bunch sometimes) more expensive, however, I figure it's worth it if I have less failed prints, better looking prints and overall less issues. Seems to be the case with both PLA and PETG. I'm interested to see what the community thinks. My opinion only. As stated, these are my own objective and caveman tests.

I think you can get quality and poor filament from anywhere. I do agree that buying domestically is a positive, but if overseas makes a good brand I will not knock it just because its not domestic.

I really don't mind what country of origin my filament comes from. I've had good luck with many of the imported filaments. I 'm with @Tombstone Not all filament is bad because its not domestic. But I do try to stay away from the brands that have wild claims in their advertisement.

this is a tough one, i do like saving a couple bucks, and i don't enjoy spending 30$CAD on a kilo of PLA or ABS from the local shop, however, i've never had a bad spool, unlike when i have tried to go cheap, not even ordering from CCP, but another canadian retailer across the country, botched vacuum seals, hours in dehydrator and still unusable.

trying to go cheap can sometimes cost ya more.
