Dual Extrusion dual nozzle

Good morning to all.

First and foremost Happy New Year to you all and those who you love most.

I have built a 3d printer with 2 extruder, 2 nozzles and I would like to know how to clean the the hot end nozzles at each change of extrusion, i.e. Raft layers would be Extruder 2, when it changes to extruder 1 for printing the the actual part I would like to clean the Nozzle so the carriage goes to say Left to clean itself, and when it changes the extruder again, the carriage goes to the Right and do the same, do I have modify the configuration.h or just a script to add to CURA how to do this?

I would really appreciate if some one can help please.

The best way to do that would be to have gcode to move it to where you want and then perform the moves to clean it. I know Marlin has a "nozzle clean" feature in there but I've never actually used it.

It has to be enabled in the firmware for it to be available. I literally have never played with it though.

Good morning all,

I sorted it in the Printer setting Start G-code, this is going not only to clean the nozzles, but also tilt the dual hot-ends as well.

Siamak Thats what I do. I have a wipe thing in my starting code that purges on the front left of the bed and wipes it. I do that because the wipe feature in Marlin takes up space in the firmware and some boards don't have room to spare. Putting it in the starting gcode takes that burden off the board memory.

Hi HOB, I have just printed a bit of a test to see how the printer behaves itself, it is doing good, not well. I need a bit of modifications here and there, in the Start G-Code of course and in the printer setting as well, I will keep you guys posted.
