I have used the TP-Link version. I have one near my indoor router, and another outside in my shop. Interestingly, they're on 2 different circuit breakers but still work. I guess everything in the box is connected somehow. Outside I have a TP-Link wireless router that I use as an access point for all my out-buildings - she-shed, greenhouse, shop and barn. It literally gives me an additional 3-500 feet of coverage. I couldn't get a hundred feet with just my indoor router. Not the easiest to set up, though, but with a little trial and error it works out fine.
