I put a Petsfang Blokhead on my Micro Swiss DD. I'm getting a ton of warping that I never had before. Is it possible to have to much part cooling? I have my fan set to start at 100% on layer 4. I do however run my bed kind of hot @ 70. This was not a problem before and I had great bed adhesion. Would knocking down the fan to maybe 60% instead of 100 help OR dropping the bed temp down to maybe 65? IDK, maybe with the bed at 70 the filament is still pretty hot and cooling it so quickly at layer 4 is causing the warping. The initial layers are going down fine, so… I'm assuming it's the fan?
Maybe that was it. I adjusted my bed temp down to 65 from 70. What I think had the most impact was using one of Cura's experimental post processing scripts called "ChangeAtZ 5.2.1. I personally thinks it ready for prime time. I was looking for an excuse to use this one and this seems to be it. I set the initial fan speed to 0 for the first 4 layers, changed the fan speed to 50% at layer 5 and 100% at layer 8. The print in question would have been warping at layer 3 or 4. Looks pretty good now. This is PLA and I'm probably going to play around some more. That script is actually pretty nice, you can change just about any behavior at a height or layer. Anyway, I'm sure everyone here has seen it, for those that have not see the attached screenshot of the variable items you can change.
