So I've got an ender 5 pro with the 4.2.7 board that I recently upgraded to a volcano hotend with a Bondtech extruder in a herome gen5 setup (which I don't love, but I'll figure that out later). I've had about 10-15 hours of successful printing since the upgrade, but just this morning a print stopped midway and the error on the screen was "thermal runaway on E1" I tried restarting it and the thermistor seemed to be reading right, but when the print started the hotend temp started slowly dropping until about minute into printing the temp was about 6-7 degrees too low and then it crashed again with the thermal runaway error.
I'm guessing this is either a bad thermistor or a bad connection.
are there other possibilities?
…Basically I don't want to change the thermistor because the herome setup makes this a PITA, but I think I just need to suck it up.
